
Syktyvkar State University, officially known as Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University, is a leading public educational institution located in Syktyvkar, the capital of the Komi Republic in Russia. Established in 1972, it has grown from a modest institution with just two faculties into a comprehensive university offering a wide range of academic programs. Today, it comprises 13 institutes and 52 departments, making it the largest higher education institution in the region. The university is named in honor of Pitirim Sorokin, a globally recognized Russian-American sociologist.

- Must be 17 years or older by December 31st of the admission year.
- Completed 10+2 or equivalent with subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- Minimum 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). For reserved categories, 40% is accepted.
- NEET qualification is mandatory for Indian medical aspirants.
- A valid passport, medical fitness certificate, HIV test report, passport-sized photos, and academic transcripts are required for admission processing.
